Abstract Guidelines

Structured English abstract of less than 350 words , excluding title.:

The Abstract should be structured into the following sections
Title (which clearly indicates the nature of the investigation)
Authors (List of authors)
Affiliation (Institutional Affiliation)

Background
Objectives
Methods
Results
Conclusions
References (optional )

One optional image of width 1000 pixels and height maximum 1000 pixels at 300dpi resolution in high quality JPEG or PNG format. Remember to use JPEG for photographs and PNG for figures and graphs.

Rules governing abstracts.

Last date for submission of abstracts is 31 Aug 2017

Registration for the conference is mandatory for presentation of the abstract.

The work must be original and previously unpublished.

Abstracts will be judged according to the scientific merit, relevance to Indian Rheumatology, suitability of methods to aims, conclusions informed by objective results, accuracy of the description of methods used, originality of work, ethics, standard of English and overall impression

Abstract should not contain brand names, trade names or non-standard acronyms.

The length of the abstract (word count) would be on the “body” of the abstract, consisting of namely, Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions and References.

Author names and affiliation would be hidden from the review committee but would be used in the abstract book.

The presenting author should be willing to present present the work during IRACON 2017 as an oral platform presentation or poster presentation or either as assigned by the scientific committee.

The authors, by virtue of submission of the abstract, agree to the publication of the same in the official abstract book of the conference as a special issue of Indian Journal of Rheumatology.

Presenting author is responsible for obtaining any required consent of the co-authors of the abstract.

The presenting author is responsible for the integrity of the abstract including but not restricted to spelling, grammar and scientific content and there would not be any subsequent opportunities for correction or proof reading.

The decision of the scientific committee chairperson would be final.
